The Zion Lutheran Church will offer a free community ham dinner on Sunday, December 3, 2017 beginning at 3:45PM. Please enter the church hall from the rear of the church. Parking is available at the church lot on West Street. The Shippensburg Swing Band will entertain.
The regular monthly meeting of the Newville Borough Council for November 28, 2017 at 7PM has been canceled and rescheduled to Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at 7:00PM. The meeting will be held at the Newville Borough Office, 4 West Street.
The Newville Borough Police Department will sponsor a “Shop With a Cop Day” on December 16, 2017. Acting Police Chief Thomas Wambold has announced that on that day, officers of the police department will accompany children of the borough to local department stores to purchase toys and gift items.
The Newville Borough Police Department is currently accepting donations for this event. Contributions should be made payable to the Newville Borough Police Department, and may bemailed to the station at 27 West Big Spring Avenue, Newville, Pennsylvania, 17241, to the attention of Police Clerk Vickie Negley.

The Green Spring Brethren in Christ Church will offer a free Thanksgiving Community Meal on Thursday, November 23, 2017 from 12 Noon to 3:00PM at the church hall. The Green Spring Brethren in Christ Church is located at 720 Green Spring Road, North Newton Township.
