The Big Spring Kiwanis Club held a Bike Safety Expo at Newville Community Park on Saturday, June 16, 2018 as part of annual Fountain Festival. The Big Spring Kiwanis Club would like to thank the following sponsors who helped to make the event possible: DHL, Son’s of the American Legion Post 421, Saylor’s Market, Cohick and Associates and Bender’s Auto Parts. The Kiwanis Club members wish to thank Mike Bender of Bender’s Auto Parts for his generous donation of bike helmets and bicycles. Children participating in the event received a free bicycle helmet, along with a custom fitting provided by the American Trauma Society of Pennsylvania. Kelsey Mayberry and Matt Frampton of the American Trauma Society also provided literature on bicycle safety. Several bicycles were raffled off and given away to the children. Each child participating received a $5 gift card courtesy of Saylor’s Market and Cohick and Associates. The Big Spring Kiwanis Club wishes to thank all of the sponsors for this event who donated so generously.
