KIWANIS GIFT CARDS BENEFIT COMMUNITY PROJECTS

KIWANIS GIFT CARDS BENEFIT COMMUNITY PROJECTS

The Big Spring Kiwanis Club in cooperation with Saylor’s Market is presently selling gift cards to benefit community projects. The gift cards will be sold in denominations of $10.00, $20.00 and $50.00. Saylor’s Market will donate 5% of the gift card sales back to the Big Spring Kiwanis Club. According to club president Bob Kanc, the Big Spring Kiwanis Club has a number of projects in mind for the funds. Although relatively new to the Newville area, the Kiwanis Club has undertaken a number of projects which are very popular with the community, including the Newville Christmas Parade and Santa Visit, the donation of back-to-school supplies as part of National Night Out, and the Touch-A-Truck program. The Big Spring Kiwanis presently sponsors a Key Club at the Big Spring High School. The Kiwanis has also provided support for the installation of cameras at the Newville Community Park, purchased an AED device for the Newville Police Department, and has helped the Newville Little League with a fence project. Please show your support for these dedicated community volunteers by purchasing your gift cards from Becky Heberlig, Kiwanis Secretary at the Newville Borough Office on Monday, Thursday and Friday, 8AM to 4PM.  For more information, please contact Becky Heberlig at 776-7633.
