Advanced Disposal, the Lewis B. Puller Detachment of the United States Marine Corps and the Borough of Newville are pleased to once again sponsor the annual “Trash for Cash” scrap metal drive to benefit the Toys for Tots Program.
Last year the Borough of Newville was able to donate over $4,000 to the Toys for Tots campaign due to the support of Advanced Disposal and the local Marine Corps Detachment. “This has been a tremendous public service project, we are helping to clean up the community, to recycle and in turn we are helping the Toys for Tots program. There will be many smiles on the children’s faces at Christmas thanks to the work we are performing now,” said Robert Gilbert, a United State Marine Corps Veteran and major supporter of the project. Residents of the Newville area may bring scrap metal to the dumpster which is located at the Newville Public Works Complex, 55 Cove Avenue, Newville, during the hours of 7AM to 3PM on Monday through Friday. The scrap metal drive will continue through November 30, 2013.
