Tax Collection Compensation Policy of the Borough of Newville

Tax Collection Compensation Policy of the Borough of Newville Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.
On May 28, 2013, the Newville Borough Council adopted the following policy related to the compensation of the elected Tax Collector serving the orough of Newville. Effective immediately, it shall be the policy of the Newville Borough Council to compensate any elected Tax Collector who shall maintain an office and regular public hours of tax collection at the Newville Borough Municipal Building, 4 West Street, Newville, with a commission rate of five
percent (5%). If the elected Tax Collector will not collect taxes and maintain regular public hours of tax collection at the Newville Borough Municipal Building, the commission rate to be paid to the elected Tax Collector shall be three percent (3%). This commission shall apply to the Real Estate Tax – General levy, Street Lighting Tax, and the Occupational Assessment Tax. The Borough Council has established the following pay over dates for the elected Tax Collector, to become effective on January 1, 2014: Month of March Every Friday by 10AM, Month of April Every Friday by 10AM, Month of May Every Friday by 10AM, Month of June By the 15th and the 30th at 10AM, both dates. Month of July By the 15th and the 31st at 10AM, both dates.
Month of August By the 15th and the 31st at 10AM, both dates. Month of September On the 15th at 10AM, Month of October On the 15th at 10AM
Month of November On the 15th at 10AM, Month of December On the 15th and the 31st at 10AM, both dates. This policy shall apply to the Tax Collector elected to serve after January 1, 2014.
