Zumba Gold – every Monday and Thursday at 8:30 a.m. at the First United Presbyterian Church. The cost is $2.00 a class for those 60+/$5.0 a class for those 50 – 59. No need to sign up; just walk in.
Stretching – We stretch, using a video at the Big Spring Senior Center. It is free for those who are members/$5.00 for non-members or those 50 – 59. Call for information on days/times.
T’ai Chi for Arthritis –This program meets on Tuesday mornings at 9 a.m. at the First United Presbyterian Church. The cost is a $5 donation per week and is also being supplemented by a grant from the Office of Aging and Community Services.
Yoga –This session is held on Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. at Big Spring Presbyterian Church, 25 South Corporation Street, Newville. The cost is $65/member and $55/non-member for a 10-week session which can be pro-rated if you start mid-session.
Walk w/East Group Walking Program - Several folks enjoyed the Walk w/East Program at the Newville Rails to Trails last year. There is no structured curriculum. We meet at the Newville Trailhead, do some pre-walking stretches, walk for approximately 50 minutes and end with post-walking stretches. Come join us at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Walking will be at your own pace. Note: We will not be walking in the event of inclement weather.
