BOROUGH MANAGER

     The Borough of Newville is seeking applicants for the position of Borough Manager. The Manager reports to a six (6) member borough council along with a five (5) member municipal authority and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the borough. A bachelor's degree in business or public administration or another closely related field is desired. A minimum of five years of municipal government experience at an administrative level is essential. The candidate will have demonstrable managerial experience in local government and shall possess the combination of education, training, and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skill, and abilities required for the position. The successful candidate must have good communication skills, experience in finance and budgeting, municipal planning and zoning, along with grantsmanship. Knowledge of public water and wastewater operations is required as the borough operates municipally owned water and sewer treatment facilities along with extensive distribution and collection systems serving four municipalities.

     A letter of interest and resume along with three professional references and salary requirements shall be submitted to the Newville Manager Search Committee, 4 West Street, Newville, Pennsylvania, 17241 or by email to Jody Hoffman, Borough Secretary/Treasurer at newvilleboroughsecretary@newvilleborough.us.
